Portable moving containers give you more control when move-out and move-in dates don’t align. We deliver a container to your chosen location, and you load it at your own pace. When you’re ready, we pick it up and deliver it to your next location or place it in secure off-site storage.
This approach works well when closing dates, temporary housing, renovations, or other timing issues make a one-day truck rental impractical. Your belongings remain in the same container between loading and unloading, reducing repeated handling.
We coordinate delivery, pickup, storage when needed, and redelivery. You control the pace of loading and unloading while we manage the container schedule.

Choose the Right Container Size & Rental Period
We offer 12-foot, 16-foot, and 20-foot containers for moves of different sizes. The 20-foot option provides additional capacity for larger residential moves and substantial business relocations. Our team can help you compare the available sizes before you schedule delivery.
Flexible rental periods let you keep the container for as long as your move requires. If the next property isn’t ready, we can pick up the container, place it in secure off-site storage, and redeliver it when you’re ready to unload.

Elgin Moving Container Placement Requirements
Elgin limits exterior placement of a mobile storage container to no more than 14 days within a 12-month period while the property has the same record owner. This city requirement may affect your delivery date and loading schedule.
The container must be placed on a paved surface and may not encroach on the public right-of-way, including areas reserved for streets, sidewalks, and related infrastructure.
Before scheduling delivery, confirm:
The current city requirements apply to the property.
A suitable paved placement surface is available.
The proposed location remains outside the public right-of-way.
The schedule complies with the current 14-day exterior placement limit.
The property owner or applicable condominium, townhouse, or homeowners association permits the placement.
City requirements and private property rules can change. Confirm the standards that apply to your address before finalizing placement and delivery dates.
