Portable Storage Containers Built for Miami’s Climate
Our containers are constructed from powder-coated steel and sit 8 inches off the ground, reducing contact with ground moisture and water seepage. A ventilated design limits humidity buildup inside the container, which matters in Miami’s coastal environment where heat and moisture can affect furniture, electronics, and soft goods stored outdoors over time.
We use padded wheels during placement and pickup to help protect your driveway and other property surfaces. Built-in tie-down rings help keep belongings secure during transport. You provide your own padlock, so you control access at every stage.
Container Sizes for Miami Moves & Storage Projects
All three container sizes are 8 feet wide and 8 feet tall. The difference is length and total capacity. Using our online storage calculator before you reserve helps you estimate the right size for the furniture, appliances, boxes, equipment, or project materials you need to store.
Available container sizes:
12-Foot Container: At 768 cubic feet, the 12-foot container is sized for studio or dorm relocations, moves involving 2 to 3 rooms, and smaller renovation projects where you need to clear a space without hauling everything off-site.
16-Foot Container: The 16-foot container holds 1,024 cubic feet and is typically suited to condo or apartment moves involving 3 to 4 rooms. It’s also a practical fit for mid-size renovation projects that require clearing multiple rooms at once.
20-Foot Container: At 1,280 cubic feet, the 20-foot container is our largest option and is suited for full-home moves of 4 to 6 rooms, major renovation projects, and higher-volume business storage needs. Miami-Dade County’s residential placement rules limit residential containers to 16 feet in length, so the 20-foot option may be better suited to off-site storage or commercial applications. How Moving Storage Containers Work
Our process gives you time to load without coordinating a truck rental or making repeated trips to a separate storage location.
From reservation through redelivery:

Prepare the site: Confirm there is a safe delivery path, adequate space, and any required property approvals before delivery.
Delivery: We bring the container to your Miami address and position it at an approved location, whether that’s in front of a garage, at the curb, or another appropriate spot.
Load at your pace: Pack your belongings on your own schedule.
Pickup, transport, or storage: When you’re ready, we pick up the container and transport it to your new location or store it at our facility until you request redelivery.
Ground-Level Loading & Straightforward Pricing
Containers load at ground level with no ramp to navigate and no stairs to manage. This setup gives you a direct path for furniture, boxes, and other belongings from the property into the container.
Our quoted pricing doesn’t add mileage charges, tolls, or fuel costs. Flexible rental periods give you room to adjust when a move, renovation, listing, or closing date changes, subject to applicable residential placement rules.
When a Portable Storage Container Makes Sense
Common uses for on-site and off-site storage:
Local residential moves: Load the container at your current home and have it delivered to your new address in Miami or Miami-Dade County.
Home renovations: Clear a kitchen, bathroom, or living space into a container while work is underway.
Home staging: Move excess furniture and personal belongings out of the home before showings.
Hurricane-season preparation: Use off-site storage when keeping a container at the property is not practical during storm season.
Business storage: Store inventory, equipment, or furnishings during office renovations or location changes.
Go Mini's of Miami-Dade County serves Miami and Miami-Dade County, including Miami Gardens and Hialeah.
Miami-Dade County requires a Certificate of Use to place a portable storage container on residential property. The county’s residential requirements limit containers to 8 feet in width, 16 feet in length, and 8 feet in height. Containers must be placed at ground level and set back a minimum of 10 feet from the front property line and at least 5 feet from all other property lines.
For residential properties, a container may remain on-site for no more than 90 total days in a calendar year unless an extension is addressed through the county’s process. HOA approval may also be required. Municipal and community rules can differ, so verify the approvals and requirements that apply to your property before delivery.
The county also requires that a residential container be locked whenever it isn’t being loaded or unloaded. Upon the issuance of a Hurricane Watch, the container must be removed or secured to withstand winds in excess of 100 mph. These rules can affect whether a 16-foot container, off-site storage, or another approved placement arrangement is the right fit.
Driveway Delivery Details for Miami Properties
Our containers are 8 feet wide, and delivery requires a straight path of about 60 feet for the truck to position the container accurately. We can position it to open toward a garage door or another access point when site conditions allow.
Before scheduling driveway delivery, check the driveway width, path length, surface condition, overhead clearance, parked vehicles, utility lines, landscaping, property lines, and any shared-drive access. Narrow lots, slopes, and other site conditions can affect placement feasibility.
