The Scoop on our Container Insurance Program

You can’t always stop accidents from happening, but you can lessen their effects if you cover your bases beforehand. As a part of our services, Go Mini’s offers the container insurance program, which ensures that your belongings are covered during storage.

The program covers all personal property stored in our units, whether on the homeowner’s property, stored in Augusta Go Mini’s facility, or in transit somewhere in between; so from start to finish, we’ve got you covered.

What causes of loss are covered?

We recognize that there’s a lot that could happen to your possessions during storage, so the program covers a wide range of causes of loss. Some covered causes include:

  • Fire damage

  • Lightning

  • Windstorm and hail damage

  • Snow and ice

  • Falling objects, such as tree limbs

  • Water damage from container leaks

  • Burglary

  • Damage to the lock system or attempted break-in on your unit

  • and more

How does Go Mini’s Container Insurance Program work?

At the time of booking, you’ll be asked if you would like to add any insurance coverage to your order. Once you sign and return the form, you’ll be enrolled and the coverage will begin as soon as your container arrives. Our insurance program is offered and managed through Carstin Insurance. Once enrolled, you’ll be mailed a certification of insurance directly from Carstin; all claims are handled directly through them.

Below are the levels of coverage (per container) and their monthly fees. Additional coverage amounts are available upon request.

  • $2000 - $12 per month
  • $5000 - $22 per month
  • $10,000 - $38 per month
  • $15,000 - $54 per month

With Go Mini’s, your property is stored safely. But for even more peace of mind when booking, ask about our container insurance program.

Container Designed to Protect Your Items

In addition to these insurance options, our portable storage containers are outfitted with a variety of features to protect your items while they are in storage or transit.

Our containers are designed with a raised floor to decrease the likelihood of flooding in the event of heavy rainfall. Our containers are also ventilated to decrease humidity and condensation inside the containers and prevent the development of mold and mildew.

The sturdy construction protects your goods from falling objects and ensures the integrity of the container during heavy winds. Finally, all containers are outfitted with padlock systems to prevent burglary or theft of your items.

While we have taken every precaution to protect your items, our new container insurance programs offer an added layer of security and that extra peace of mind!
