Go Mini’s Gives Back

Supporting our local community is at the heart of our organization. Since the founding of our parent company, Ellefson Transportation Group, in 1967 we have made it a priority to serve the community that has helped us build and grow our business over the years.

One of the ways we focus on doing that is through our partnership with local organizations across the CSRA. Over the past year, we have partnered with Golden Harvest Food Bank to provide hands-on service opportunities for our employees at The Master’s Table Soup Kitchen.

In addition, our organization is a member of “Move for Hunger”, a 501(c)3 non-profit that works with relocation companies to collect non-perishable food items, and deliver it to local food banks to help fight hunger in the communities where member businesses are established.

So, how does it work?

Simple!

When you book your container for your move, mention you are interested in participating in our move for hunger program and we will be sure to bring you a designated box to place your non-perishable food items in. Once the box is full, give us a call and we will pick it up and transport it to our local food bank, along with other donations.

During the month of October, we are pushing for additional involvement to help support the annual “Spooky to be Hungry” food drive, sponsored by Golden Harvest Foodbank.

Fall food drive

As you are planning for your upcoming move, we urge you to consider setting aside those items that you aren’t using or don’t have space to take with you and donate them to support local citizens with food insecurities, right here in the CSRA.

Wondering what to donate? Here is a list of some of Golden Harvest’s the most needed items:

  • Low Sodium Canned Vegetables
  • No Sugar added, canned fruit
  • Canned meats and seafood
  • Nuts and Nut Butters
  • Whole grain pasta and rice
  • Whole grain cereal and oats
  • Dried beans peas and lentils
  • Low sugar jam and jelly
