Knoxville Tennessee Habitat Project Helped By Go Mini’s

Knoxville Habitat for Humanity is building seven houses in seven days with the help of hundreds of volunteers. The new Silver Leaf subdivision formerly, 4044 Skyline Drive, will feature all Habitat-built homes.

Coordinating the many volunteer contractors, their tools and materials is a major undertaking for any project of this magnitude. Habitat coordinators have found that using Go Mini’s portable moving and storage containers provides the ideal solution to staging, storing and protecting tools and materials from project start to finish. The ‘7 houses in 7 days’ event in mid April will utilize 16 on-site Go Mini’s containers.”

Go Mini’s Speeds To The Rescue For Flooded School

On November 29, 2010, Dirk received an urgent call from one of his restoration clients needing three 20-foot storage units delivered immediately to a flooded, junior high school in Burnsville, MN, about 25 miles south of their Minneapolis Go Mini’s dealership. Restoration and disaster recovery businesses regularly use the weatherproof mobile units to remove and protect furniture, fixtures and belongings from properties affected by fire, natural disasters and flooding. They immediately diverted two delivery trucks from their schedule and began delivering the 20 footers that are available only from Go Mini’s. The three 20 footers quickly turned into eight 20 footers and the school had all eight secure storage buildings by the end of the day. The restoration company was quick to note that availability of the 20-foot steel and secure containers along with the quick response of the locally owned and operated Go Mini’s dealership are what keep them coming back to Go Mini’s as compared to Pods, Pack Rat or other competitors.

New Hampshire Go Mini’s Dealer Sponsors Teddy Bear For Kids Drive

Our Hudson-Nashua, NH dealership is helping to sponsor the Teddy Bears For Kids Drive to benefit the Pediatric Departments of St. Joseph Hospital and Southern New Hampshire Medical Center. Nashua Knights of Columbus Council 13904 and Immaculate Conception Church have a goal of collecting 10,000 new teddy bears, (1 for every child for a year) for pediatric patients at these NH hospitals.

U.S. Four Corners & A Harley

Darryl Andrews, Go Mini’s Alexandria, Louisiana dealer, has completed an accomplishment most of us only dream about. During Labor Day weekend, 2010, Darryl left his portable moving and storage Go Mini’s business in Alexandria and embarked with his friends on an adventure to ride to Washington’s northwest corner to complete his goal of riding his Harley Davidson to all four corners of the U.S. lower forty-eight.

“This last leg from Weaverville, California to Washington will mark the end of a goal and adventure that has spanned years,” Andrews said. “Upon riding across the Washington state line, we will have ridden Harleys through all 48 states in the continental United States.”

Last year, Darryl and friends rode their Harleys from Louisiana to Maine to conquer the northeast corner leaving only Washington’s northwest to hear the “potato….potato…potato” of the Harleys engines.

What’s next on Darryl’s agenda? “I’m just going back to business as usual helping my friends and neighbors move and store their belongings, but who knows? Alaska looks pretty interesting!”
